"What's love got to do with it?"
A presentation on Stalking and Dating Violence by Julie S. Lalonde
For over a decade, Julie S. Lalonde was stalked by a former partner that she met in high school. Drawing on her experience, years of advocacy with other survivors and academic research on the causes and enablers of stalking, this keynote will give participants concrete tools to challenge unhealthy relationship dynamics; in themselves and others.

Julie S. Lalonde is an internationally recognized women’s right advocate and public educator. A franco-ontarienne originally from Northern Ontario, she is based in Ottawa. Julie holds a BA and MA in Canadian Studies from Carleton University and works with various organizations dedicated to ending sexual violence, engaging bystanders and building communities of support. Julie is a frequent media source on issues of violence against women and has won numerous awards for her work including the Governor General’s Award in Commemoration of the Persons Case. Julie’s memoir Resilience is Futile drops March 2020.
