In the wake of COVID-19, many in our community are overwhelmed with questions and uncertainty about the pandemic and its effects on our well-being, health and economy. University of Waterloo experts are here to share their knowledge and answer questions from our community.
Join us online for free, weekly community talks. Each Wednesday, for six weeks, Waterloo researchers will share information and answer your questions on important COVID-19 topics.
Topic: In pursuit of a vaccine
There’s a global race to produce a vaccine that will be effective in protecting people from COVID-19. Right here at the University of Waterloo, Professor Roderick Slavcev and his team are working on a DNA-based option. Professor Slavcev will discuss his work, talk about why finding a vaccine is so important, and answer your questions about how COVID-19 will be managed moving forward.
Presented by Roderick Slavcev, professor, School of Pharmacy
with Bob Lemieux, Dean of Science
