Sam was also the Co-Founder and CEO of Maluuba, a Canadian artificial intelligence company built during his time at UWaterloo with support from Velocity before moving to the AI epicenter of Montréal. Maluuba was acquired by Microsoft in 2017, bringing its capabilities in machine comprehension, advanced conversational systems and reinforcement learning to Microsoft's AI research center in Canada. \\n\\nA social reception will follow immediately after,  with refreshments.
