About the ETGF Symposium
The ETGF symposium is funded by a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) grant linking emerging technologies, ethics, and social justice. It will be run as part of the University of Waterloo’s long-standing “Critical Tech Talk” (CTT) series—an initiative launched in 2021 to promote “honest dialogues about technological innovation”—in collaboration with the Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism.
